72) Septic

There’s nothing green about our septic system, except the tank’s colour. To begin with, the tank has to be 1200 gallons, which is quite unnecessary for a 2 bedroom house with water-saving systems.

Then, the design specifies a 310 foot run of pipe in the septic field. Huge. But, I guess it’s green that we can plant a garden on top of the septic field to feed the deer!
